DEREK SPRAWSON was born in Liverpool in 1955
and obtained an MFA from Reading University in 1979. He currently
lives in Southwell and is Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Nottingham
Trent University. He is represented by the Bernard Jacobson
Gallery, London. He was awarded with the drawing prize at the
6th Bienal Internacional for Sculpture and Drawing in Caldas
da Rainha, Portugal in 1995. He is currently exhibiting two
paintings specifically made for Southwell Minster in the corridor
leading to the Chapter House.
