These drawings are a celebration of the Class of 1992 . Just after obtaining my degree I was invited to do some work in an inner city school as an extra experience for the children .The intention was to draw a few of the ten year olds in order to perhaps inspire them to have a go. They were the normal cross section from a variety of different home backgrounds and delightful to be with in the classroom. The atmosphere in the room was calm and industrious and the children carried on with their work ignoring me totally, but they really enjoyed seeing the end result. I had been drawing and painting for four years so was as skilled as I will ever be and even I was quite pleased with the likenesses,so I ended up drawing them all and each child got a copy of their portrait at the end of term. They will be in their thirties now and I just hope life has been kind to them .
